Acting Biz Consultants (ABC), founded by Sherri Yelton, is designed to help young actors, parents of young actors and adults break into the acting business. ABC will serve as an adviser and guide actors of all ages as they begin to launch their acting career. We will offer a series of workshops and classes to provide you with the most up to date information you need to get started in the business or to help jump start your acting career. The agency will also be available for one-on-one counseling appointments for networking in the industry. ABC also offers advise in website design, agent contacts, head shot photographers, resume building, auditiontaping and submission and actor reel production.
Acting Biz Consultants founder, Sherri Yelton, has over thirteen (13) years of experience in launching a young child's acting talents into a successful film and television career.
William Yelton, acting consultant for ABC, began working as an actor at age five.
His early work began in local theatre at the Community Arts Center, drama school
productions, and other local plays. William Yelton jumped from the stage to the
television screen as an extra on Once Tree Hill and Surface. Several months later,
William landed his first role in film, Hounddog, where he worked with Dakota Fanning
and Robin Wright Penn. William has gone on to appear in several independent films,
a children's dvd series, and the HBO mini-series,John Adams . William has been
working in the industry for the past thirteen (13) years and has the knowledge to
help your child become a successful actor.
Acting Biz Consultants will offer two (2) tier levels of instruction: getting into the business and fine
tuning your acting skills with William Yelton. William Yelton will cover audition techniques, on camera
tips, monologue delivery, scene study, cold reads, and acting for film and stage. Sherri Yelton will
provide workshops and work one-on-one sessions with parents and teen actors to get you connected
in the film industry in North Carolina. ABC will help you navigate your way to becoming a success in
the film industry.
